LPN Job Description

Licensed Practical Nurses care for the sick, injured and disabled under the direction of licensed physicians, registered nurses, dentists, optometrists, chiropractors, podiatrists and advanced practice nurses.

As an LPN you will provide basic bedside care and skilled nursing treatments. Most LPN job descriptions will ask that you perform routine laboratory tests, administer medications, monitor intravenous therapy and contribute to the patients' plan of care.

Hondros College-School of Nursing offers a 1+1 Nursing program that allows you to complete the education required to become an LPN in just 4 quarters. Upon completing the required courses, you must pass the NCLEX-PN exam to become eligible to be a Licensed Practical nurse.
