What do I need to do to start?
Students wishing to apply to Hondros College-School of Nursing will be required to follow the steps below to gain admission.
- Submit an application along with the application fee of $25
- Take and pass the HESI Assessment Exam
- Complete and Admissions Interview
- Provide necessary documentation needed to start classes
Do you have a waiting list?
Hondros College-School of Nursing starts students into the program four times a year; Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Since we enroll students who meet the admissions requirements on a quarterly basis, you should not have to wait more than 1 quarter to start the program.
Why should I attend an information session?
Choosing the right school is often a difficult and life altering decision and we want to make sure you have the information needed to make the right choice. Attending an information session will provide you with an opportunity to see the campus, learn about the history of the college, hear from previous students about their experiences and offer you the chance to ask any questions you may have about our ADN Program, LPN Program, and the rest of our offerings.
Is your program accredited?
Hondros College is accredited by the Accrediting Council of Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) and approved by the State Board of Career College & Schools as well as the Ohio Board of Nursing (OBN). The program is in candidacy status for NLNAC approval.
ACICS is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education and is recognized by the Council for Higher Education.
Can I go directly into the Level II A.D.N. program?
Students wishing to enter directly into the Level II portion of the program may do so if they hold a valid LPN license.
Can I transfer credits into Hondros College from another institution?
Hondros College will transfer up to 25 credits into our programs. You have the opportunity to transfer in general education and science courses. All general education courses need to be taken within the last 10 years and have grades of C or better. All science courses need to be taken within the last 5 years and have grades of B or better.
Do you have any pre-requisites?
Hondros College-School of Nursing does not require students to complete pre-requisites prior to gaining admission into the program. All of the general education courses are included in the curriculum allowing you to start your nursing classes right away.
